As the days begin to get shorter and we finally say goodbye to the Summer, we turn our attention to changes that we might make in our own homes to reflect the changing seasons and the wonderful prospect of cosy evenings on the sofa.

There are many easy changes that we can make within the home as we enter Autumn, however in my opinion the simplest and most cost effective way is the addition, or replacement, of throws.

If your sofa, like mine, is never without one, then now is the perfect time to swap out the light linen throw for a cosier, and perhaps more luxurious throw, which will actively make you look forward to nights in.

Not only does having a throw over the arm of the sofa, or draped over the end of the bed, add an extra layer of interest to the room, but given the current cost of energy a lovely cosy throw is also an investment which will pay for itself in almost no time at all.
